Hamilton Gardens are an absolute must visit, in fact, it is rated as the #1 thing to do in Hamilton by Trip Advisor! 
Take along a yummy lunch and a blanket, or order a gourmet picnic basket from the Hamilton Gardens Café and spend an afternoon enjoying the beauty of one of Hamilton’s most Instagram worthy locations. Explore the stunning gardens, with personal favourites including the Indian Char Bagh Garden, Italian Renaissance Garden and the Japanese Garden of Contemplation.
There are regular events, including Gourmet in the Gardens, held every Sunday during summer, along with lots of activities to entertain the kids such as bingo and discovery trails.
If you needed even more reason to visit, the location couldn’t be more convenient, just off State Highway 1 on the southern side of Hamilton, plus both entry and parking are free. Or perhaps, treat yourself and take a guided river cruise to or from Hamilton Gardens.
Next Stop! Duck Island Ice Cream Shop! Just over 2km on Grey Street you’ll find THE place to get ice cream, which include innovative flavours like Orange Blossom Choc Chip, Cinnamon Smoked Apple Pie and Candied Violet.
